Worth Living

Belo Horizonte, November 22th, 2010

This year everything was different. I went to a new school and made new friends. And I am really linking being part of CSA. This hole expirience has been good for me, in spite of the quantity of tests... This is something that I got used to.
There are a lot of people that you need to deal with, but you just get close to someones. I hope don't loose the good friends I made this year. Some of my friend today was old friends that I just redescovered in CSA. So I'm really join my classes...
Abbout the teachers, they are so many, but the students are more. So don't be surprised if some of them don't know who you are. This is quite of good, because it creates some distance from who you want to be apart. Actualy, in this end, is so hard to say goodbay for the teachers that i really like! They are good by teachers and by people, and I will miss them.
In this year i had some especials moments, like the travel to Angra dos Reis with my classmates. It was so funny!!! Another one was the picknick in the Mangabeiras Park with my friends. There was a lot of moments that I never want to forget.
In the time that i was not studing, or going out with my friends, I was dancing... And dancing is an important part of my life. How i like to do it! And there I have very good friends! They are so different from each other, but connected by one passion: dance!

I really like politics! And i aways like to make some changes! Thats why I'm trying to get into the school's student union, with Ágora sheet. I'm trying to introduce more culture to CSA students. At this point the school missed a lot.

This blog was an iterresting project. I wonder myself reading it some years later and remembering things I thought in 2010! And it will be grateful if I return here and, by reading my old texts I would found out how i had developed in my English study.

So, I'm saying goodbye for this blog, and for no readers! I'm so sorry for my lenguage mistakes, and I hope someday be able to fix them!

Kisses, Clarissa Aguiar. 1H, number 10.

Voices From the List

The documentary, “Voices From The List” is the testemony of survivors from the holocausto. They talk abbout their lifes before, during and after the Nazi occupation in Poland, and how difficult was for jewish people to not be killed by the SS guards, or by the terrible situation they were exposed to. All the jewish people who appears and talks his history were saved by Oskar Schindler, real 'hero'.A man that put in risk his own life to save more than a thousand of lifes, a more than a thousand of jewish lifes.
All the jewish used to live in a city of Poland , they had a normal life, like the other poles, but when the Nazi's arrived they started to treat the jewish very bad, considering them a lower kind fo humanbean, and they have to acept it, because the goverment treat them at the same
way. Than the goverment ordered all the jewes to live in separeted hoods, called 'ghettos', hoods only for jewish. After that they walled all the ghetto, andthe jewishs needed a kind of 'pass' to go out, they only recivied this 'pass' to work. When the labour camp bulding was complety, they moved all the jewish to the camps, at this time the massacre had already started, the Nazi killed jewish because of silly reasons, they were killing for fun. In the camps, the jewes
had a slave life, they were living and working at the labour camps, going out just to work at factorys wich were out of the camp. This was the aspect of the jewish
life, when Oskar Schindler started to plan how to save more than a thousand of lifes, jewish lifes.
Oskar Schindler was a german, a factory owner who went to Poland to make money, he wasn't planning to save jewish lifes when starterd his factory. He made a lot of
important friends, people in the army, in the SS police( the Nazi police), in the goverment, this kind of friendship guarantee his a lot of favours from the
important people. He used to give gifts to his 'friends', and they used to do favours for him, at this time Schindler was a big factory owner, with jewish employes. And while he was
watching the real genocide that Nazis were doing, killing hundreads and hundreads of jewes, he started to protect them, but doing all disguised, because ifsomeone discovered that he was protecting jewish people, he would be killed as jewish person.
Firstly he took as many jewish people as he could to live in his onw factory taking them away of danger, because living in a labour camp, you are in a constlantly danger. When he discovered that the Labour Camp next his factory would be closed, and all the jewish would be send to another labour camp, Oskar Schindler seeked for all favours he could catch from his important friends, he wanted to transfer his factory to another place, a city in Czechoslovakia. And he wanted to take with hom more than a thounsand of jewish people, to 'work' in his factory. Than, more than a thousand of jewish people were saved, because Oskar Schindler took them to his factory and waitted to the arrived of the russian army, they were saved.
A important fact of the documentary, it was a part of the speech of one of the biggiest movie directors, Steven Spilberg, who said " It is a rare example, showing that just one man(Oskar Schindler) can make the difference. "

Relationships in the computer

Now a day the number of people that have a relationship by the internet increased a lot. More and more people are trying to find a partner in the internet. This kind of relationship is becoming a fever, and a important point of it is the number of adults and elderly people who are using this way of dating. It is not just a ‘'young'’ fever, but a fever that affects people of all ages.
Another interesting thing is that the number of relationships that ends by the computer is rising. In a research made by Veja magazine, 34% of 2000 people said that they have ended their partnership by an email. 13% just changed their status in Facebook; 6% warned in Twitter; 2% ended with cellphone’s message; 8% by the phone. Fortunately, the major decided to broke by the old way, face to face.
The internet make possible to talk with people of all parts of the world. A Brazilian guy can chat with someone from ANY country. So it is a nice way to meet new people, and meeting new people makes easier to begin a new relationship. It is a really nice way to meet people and start a relationship. But, it is a dangerous way, because there are a lot of people in internet that have unknowing interests. This kind of profile may be, in the worst cases, a pedophile, or a thieve. So you have to be very careful with the virtual dangers that you are exposed by using the internet.
In spite of the minimum danger, the internet it is a way to make easier the relationship between people. It is a way to make friends and to find a partner. But, the internet cannot be the principal way of having a relationship, or socializing. People cannot replace the contact human x human for a contact with the computer, it is not healthy to stay a lot of time in the computer, or staying dating only by the internet. A date by the internet it is nice, it is a way to find people, to make new friends, but, it is NOT a real contact, it is not a real relation, it is fictional, and when this way it is used in excess, make people sick and with a fake happiness. Then, i say that : it is psycologic comproved that a real relationship is more health for people involved.

Social Project - Assentamento Pastorinhas

This time we are going to tell one social project expirience that Clarissa has lived in her old school.

When i (Clarissa) was in the 8th grade, me and my class wrote a letter for the responsable of Agenda 21, a megazine of the environment ministry, about our expirience with the Assentamento pastorinhas, and it was relleased in the same month by this megazine. I will try to translate the letter for english and pass for our readers one example of a succeced social project.
" Belo Horizonte, may 26th, 2009

Gentleman,

We, students of the 8th grade in Escola Balão Vermelho, want to share with you our expirience with Assentamento Pastorinhas, situated in Brumadinha, MG.
This patnership has turned a succesfull project of solidarity economy, that showed positive results for the comunity of the assentamento and for the school.
In 2006, when we wore in the 5th grade, we made a study about sustainable develop. Our teacher Edi (Edinaldimar Barbosa), who already knew the Assentamento, gave the idea to take us there to live an example of a community that lived in a self sustainable way.
This visit showed us a new vision of the world. We met people that even living in bad conditions, worked their lands in a solidarity and cooperatively. They had the conciuss of respect the environment and the near person. They shared their tasks and their money. Received us offering a good lunch prepared by them selves.
We got know about the difficults they had to get those lands, because they were in the Movimento Sem Terra. They told us how hard is to keep them.
While we knew the plantetions, we found a middleman's truck collecting the products. From this, we took conciuness of the economy exploration they suffered.
We heard daily our parents complaining about the prices and the quality of vegetables in the supermarkets. So we had the idea that the Assentamento could sell their products directly to the people in Balão Vermelho. They would get fair prices for the selling and we would get vegetables without agrotoxicos.
After that we got legalize the local for selling, and every monday, in front of the school, we have a organic food fair. Until today. This project of solidary economy turned one of the principal rent of Assento Assentamento Pastorinhas, and helped to brake prejudice of all the people who keeps contacts with the 'assentados', including the people of the neighborhood where the school is.
Other part of the association is the contibution from parents, students, employees and teachers from the school, to the Assentamento. For example the donation of construction materials, clothes, furniture and, mainly books, that came from the anual book's fair in the school, called GIROLETRAS. in teh and of each event, a basket of children's book is given them, and since 2006 is contribuing to the Assentamento Pastorinhas' library. Valdivino, one of the dwellers, said that this is a realized dream, because they could't imagine that literature would be part of the life in a rural area.
How this year is our last one in the school Balão Vermelho, we have the resposibility to pass to the other classes the project, that will make the continuation to the patnership. So last week we took the 5th, 6th and 7th grade to know the Assentamento. In this visit, they had the oportunity to participate in a workshop about how to make a solar heater usings just reciclable materials.
How you could realize, this experience broght benefits for all people involved. From we, students, we still learn with them.
We've writen this letter hopping encourage simmilar projects. We want to give voice to this partnership and tell that everyone can do your contribution for society.
